Steel wire export before the new steel product export licensing system takes effect

China will roll out a licence system from Jan 1st, 2026 to regulate exports of steel products, this will affect more than 300 steel products including steel wires and steel band that we normally export, the new system will require a signed contract and a quality certificate for applying an export license, it is expected that this will increase the lead time of customer orders by approximately 1 week, please be noted about the new policy.
